There little to dislike about Tate’s in Southampton. The cookies are fantastic, the pies are phenomenal, and the coffee is strong. I never thought of Tate’s as a coffee place, but after recent visits to Golden Pear that included waiting on line for 10 minutes and reaching over rows of hot coffee to get the flavor I wanted, I decided to try Tate’s. There was a line, but it moved quickly, and because they do not have eggs and other breakfast items, it was much quieter.
Tate’s is located in a cute mint green house in the village of Southampton, and although you can buy their signature cookies almost anywhere in the Hamptons, nothing beats going to their own retail store and eating all of the samples. Everyone in theHamptonsknows about the cookies from Tate’s, but you should also consider Tate’s as a great place for coffee (I had the hazelnut, it was great).

Pro: They now have gluten free cookies and brownies
My mom, who is a hater of all things gluten free, ate a Tates gf cookie and could not believe how good it tasted. I highly recommend them.
